Manipur's COVID-19 tally surged to 1,39,213 with the addition of 32 new positive cases on Wednesday while the death toll remained 2,131 with zero new fatalities, according to the latest official update. The day's positivity rate is 4.7 per cent.

On Wednesday, Manipur saw a total of 675 COVID-19 tests. Manipur has so far conducted 16,34,077 COVID-19 tests.

According to a release by the state Health Services, the recovered cases reached 1,36,651 with 57 new recoveries and the recovery rate is 98.16 per cent. Manipur has 431 active COVID-19 cases as on Wednesday.

The new positive cases included 11 from Imphal West, five from Thoubal, four from Imphal East, three each from Bishnupur and Ukhrul, two each from Kakching and Senapati and one each from Noney and Chandel. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it stated.

Meanwhile, a total of 134 D-type oxygen cylinders and six B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur as of August 2.

The number of beds available at JNIMS is 21 of 38 total beds, while at RIMS, it is 40 of 62 total beds as of Wednesday.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 31,13,685 (first dose: 16,16,346, second dose: 12,88,391 and precautionary dose: 2,08,948).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 62.22 per cent and for the second dose is 54.03 per cent, it mentioned.
