India's COVID-19 active caseload drops to 64,667

India’s cumulative COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 212.39 crore. Over 4.03 crore first dose vaccines have been administered to children in the age group 12-14 years as of Wednesday.

India's COVID-19 active caseload dropped to 64,667, which accounted for 0.15 per cent of the country's total positive cases. official sources said on Wednesday.

The country's cumulative single day positive cases rose to 7,231 new cases, while 10,828 more patients recovered, taking the total number of recoveries to 4,38,35,852, according to the latest update by the Union Home Ministry. The recovery rate now stands at 98.67 per cent.

India has so far conducted 88,58,81,136 cumulative tests, with a total of 3,52,166 COVID-19 tests conducted on Tuesday.

The Weekly Positivity Rate in the country currently stands at 2.55 per cent and the Daily Positivity Rate is reported to be 2.05 per cent.

Meanwhile, India’s cumulative COVID-19 vaccination coverage has reached 2,12,39,92,816. Over 4.03 crore first dose vaccines have been administered to children in the age group 12-14 years as of Wednesday.
