India reports nine more COVID-19 deaths

India's COVID-19 confirmed caseload rose to 5,30,647, with 241 more people testing positive for the viral infection.

India on Thursday reported nine more COVID-19 deaths, taking the total death toll to 5,30,647, as per the latest updated bulletin of the Union Health Ministry.

The country's COVID-19 confirmed caseload rose to 5,30,647, with 241 more people testing positive for the viral infection, while 243 more recovered from it. The total recoveries reached 4,41,39,299. Following it, the active caseload dipped to 5,467, and the daily active case rate stood at 0.01 per cent as of 11 am Thursday.

So far, 90,78,09,042 total samples have been tested, while 2,19,94,80,322 total vaccine doses have been administered across the country.
