Four more test COVID-19 positive in Manipur, tally rises to 1,37,169

Three new COVID-19 cases were reported from Imphal West and one case was from Bishnupur.

Manipur on Wednesday recorded four new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's tally to 1,37,169 while the death toll remained at 2,120 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 1.5 per cent.

According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, of the four COVID-19 cases reported on Wednesday, three cases were reported from Imphal West and one case from Bishnupur.

The state also reported three new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,35,011. The recovery rate is 98.43 per cent. Manipur now has 38 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 100 Oxygen Cylinders and zero B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 28,08,617 (first dose: 15,48,813 second dose: 11,90,770 precautionary dose: 69,034).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.60 per cent and for the second dose is 50.87 per cent, it mentioned.
