Four more COVID-19 patients recover in Manipur, active caseload drops to nine

Manipur reported two new COVID-19 positive cases on Friday.

Manipur's COVID-19 confirmed caseload reached 1,39,811 with the detection of two more positive cases on Friday, and the number of active cases recorded was nine, official sources said.

According to the COVID-19 Common Control Room on Friday, the new positive cases from the general population are from Ukhrul and Kangpookpi. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing were in place, it said.

The State Level Covid 19 Deaths Audit Committee reported no death due to COVID-19. The cumulative number of COVID-19 deaths in the state remained 2,148.

Four persons were discharged on Friday. The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1,37,654 and the recovery rate is 98.46 per cent as on Friday.

As on September 29, a total of 32 D-type oxygen cylinders and eight B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of Manipur.

A total of 1,844 COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered on September 29. The cumulative vaccination coverage reached 32,36,671 Of it, first dose has been administered to 16,43,834 people, second dose was 13,25,944 and precautionary dose coverage reached 2,66,893.
