India has so far reported a total of 213 Omicron cases with Delhi logging the maximum number of 57 Omicron cases among all 15 states and Union territories where the new COVID-19 variant has spread.
In view of the rise in Omicron cases, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday announced to hold a review meeting with cabinet ministers and officials on Thursday to assess the situation, sources said.

Delhi’s COVID-19 confirmed caseload reached 14,42,515, while the death toll rose to 25,102. The capital city on Wednesday reported highest tally of daily COVID-19 cases since June 22 with 125 new cases and positivity rate of 0.2 per cent. Delhi, on June 22, reported 134 daily COVID-19 cases.
According to the latest update by the Union Health Ministry’s data, Delhi is followed by Maharashtra and Telangana with 54 and 24 cases respectively. The other states where Omicron has spread includes Karnataka with 19 cases, Rajasthan with 18 cases, Kerala 15 cases and Gujarat with 14 cases.

However, 90 of the Omicron infected people have either recovered or migrated, according to the Union health ministry's data updated on Wednesday.
