Ukhrul district medical team, led by Dr Risomi, carried out COVID-19 vaccination and routine immunization for children cum medical drive at Chingjaroi village on Sunday.
The team carried out the drive at Chingjaroi CV, Chingjaroi Ngachaphung and Chingjaroi Khullen, remote places of Ukhrul district under Chingai kendra.
Informing the Imphal Free Press over the phone in the evening, Amah T Shimray, secretary, village authority Chingjaroi CV said that a team of Ukhrul medical team comprising doctors, nurses and Church Auxiliary for Social Change (CASA), an Ukhrul based NGO visited the village and conducted the drive.
The COVID jab was opened for 12 to 18 years of age group and adults who had not taken the second dose. The medical camp was held with the sole aim to create more awareness on the essence of vaccination and the need for maintaining good health in life. The team were also joined by the ASHA workers of the village.
