COVID-19 recoveries reach 3,40,45,666 in India

India's recovery rate currently is 98.35 per cent, as 8,612 more patients recovered from COVID-19 across the country.

As many as 8,612 more patients recovered from COVID-19, pushing the total recoveries to 3,40,45,666, according to the latest updates by the Union Health Ministry on Friday.

Consequently, the Recovery Rate currently is 98.35 per cent.

In all, the country reported 9,216 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. With it the Covid-19 active caseload stood at 99,976. The active cases account for less than one per cent of the total cases, currently at 0.29 per cent; Llwest since March 2020.

The daily positivity rate (0.80%) remained less than two per cent for the last 60 days, while the weekly positivity rate (0.84%) stood below one per cent for last 19 days.

Meanwhile, 64.46 crore total tests have been conducted so far and 125.75 cr vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.

The ministry stated in a release that 1,38,50,13,650 vaccine doses have been provided to states/UTs so far through Govt of India (free of cost channel) and through direct state procurement category. A total of 22,05,87,426 balance and unutilized COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered.
