COVID-19 claimed one more life in Manipur while 73 more tested positive for the infection on Monday, according to the latest update by the state health department.
The state's death toll rose to 2,126 while the cumulative number of positive cases is 1,38,631 as of Monday.
A total of 627 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Manipur on Monday. Manipur has so far conducted 16,27,263 COVID-19 tests. The day's positivity rate is 11.6 per cent.
According to the COVID-19 Common Control Room, the COVID-19 victim, who was from Kangpokpi district had comorbidities and was not vaccinated.
Among the new COVID-19 cases reported on Sunday, 37 were from Imphal West, 23 from Imphal East,three from Bishnupur, two each from Kakching, Kangpokpi, and Chandel, and one each from Kamjong, Tamenglong and Churachandpur, it stated.
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it added.
The state also recorded 107 new recoveries, increasing the cumulative number of COVID-19 recovered cases in the state to 1,35,900 and the recovery rate is 98.3 per cent. Manipur has 605 active cases as of Monday.
Meanwhile, a total of 20 D-type oxygen cylinders and seven B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur as of July 24.
As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 30,65,428 (first dose: 16,08,566 second dose: 12,80,183 and precautionary dose: 1,76,679.
The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 62.14 per cent and for the second dose is 53.77 per cent, it mentioned.
