But sometimes extreme poverty and social conditions may make it impossible for students to be able to get admitted into a course in time.

Covid effect on mental health

Now even more alarming is the impact of the pandemic on mental health of the general population. Experts are expecting a five-fold increase in mental health cases in the coming days.

Unshackling Ladakh and its impact for Manipur

The tribals of Manipur continue to face similar situation of neglect and oppression from the majority community in the state, as the minority Ladakhis did in the State of J&K. the decision of the Central government granting Ladakh the status of UT and unshackling it from J&K seems to provide a glimmer of hope for the marginalised tribes of Manipur to dream of separate land identities for themselves.

HAC and ADC Bill 2021: What does the Speaker say?

IFP Editorial: Another debatable issue has come up as to whether the HAC is acting within its mandate or beyond it. Its mandate was given by Article 371 C and the Manipur Legislative Assembly (Hill Areas Committee) Order, 1972. The question now is whether that mandate also empowers the HAC to amend or expand its own mandate?
