India achieves $400 billion goods exports target: PM Modi

The goods export target was achieved nine days ahead of schedule, the Prime Minister's Office stated.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday lauded the farmers, weavers, MSMEs, manufacturers and exporters in India as India achieved the ambitious target of $400 billion of goods exports.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister said: "India set an ambitious target of $400 Billion of goods exports & achieves this target for the first time ever. I congratulate our farmers, weavers, MSMEs, manufacturers, exporters for this success. This is a key milestone in our Aatmanirbhar Bharat journey. #LocalGoesGlobal"

The goods export target was achieved nine days ahead of schedule, the Prime Minister's Office stated in a release.
