Radhabinod Koijam in his brief speech said that the book is a collection of speeches, writings published in national and local newspapers and other publications.

On the sidelines of the event, he said that he reflected upon Indian federalism in view of the smaller Northeastern state in the book. He said the Central government has treated north eastern states including Manipur, Nagaland and others differently as compared with bigger mainland India.

Responding to the media he said that a long term solution is needed to bring normalcy back in Manipur. It has already been reported in different media houses that the ongoing crisis in Manipur involves external aggression, he mentioned. The union home minister alone cannot restore normalcy but a proper discussion is needed among the Union Home Minister, union defence minister, external affairs minister and others, he added.
