Tomb of King Chaobiyaima lies in shambles

Lamenting the damaged and neglected condition of the historic site, caretaker of Semsurudin urged the authorities concerned to take up immediate action for the conservation of the site.

The tomb of late King Chaobi Yaima Ningthemcha, father of late king Churachand Ningthemcha at Lalang Part IV Moirangbad in Cachar district, Assam is in a deteriorated condition allegedly due to authorities’ negligence.

One devotee who resides near the enshrined final resting place Md Samsur Uddin loathed the deteriorated condition of the sacred place and urged immediate attention of the authorities concerned.

He said that many abled individuals from Imphal and Cachar came and made promises for the development of the site where the final rites of the late King Chaobiyaima were performed.
