Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) BD Mishra on Sunday flagged off the North-East India Inter-State Friendship Car Rally 2022 from Itanagar for Meghalaya. The rally aims to promote and create awareness about the tourism of the Northeastern region.
"Flagged off the North-East India Inter-State Friendship Car Rally 2022, which aims to promote and create awareness about the tourism of North Eastern Region, from Itanagar," the governor tweeted.
Complimenting the International Friendship Car Rally Association (IFCRA) and the participants from the eight states of Northeast India, the governor urged upon the participants to promote the spirit of ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat’, ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ and ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’.
"Urged upon the participants to promote the spirit of ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat’, ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ and ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ envisioned by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji," the governor said in another tweet.
The rally, which will cover the eight states of Northeast India - Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Tripura, Assam, Meghalaya Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram - is organised by IFCRA and jointly sponsored by the North Eastern Council (NEC), DoNER Ministry and the Department of Youth Affairs, Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
