Coronavirus in Assam has claimed one more life, taking the death toll in the state due to COVID-19 to 10 as on Saturday, Health and Family Welfare Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

The man succumbed to the disease at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital, a health official said.

The state has so far reported a total of 7,165 positive cases of COVID-19 including 4,814 recoveries, three migrations and 10 deaths.

The first case of the COVID-19 pandemic in Assam was reported on March 31, 2020.
