The unauthorised RAT kits seized by Churachandpur police were handed over to the CMO office, Churachandpur on Saturday with the permission of sub-divisional magistrate of the district.
Handing over RAT kits to the CMO as per the order by the SDM, DGP LM Khaute said that the seized COVID-19 testing kits are good in quality and much needed for the health department. The people who illegally transported the items that cost approximately around Rs 60 lakh will be dealt as per law, he added.
It may be mentioned that four cartons of unauthorised Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) kits containing 4,000 testing kits were seized by Churachandpur police on Friday.
The persons who carried the testing kits illegally were arrested in the presence of Churachandpur SP, CMO, additional DC and other police officials of the district.
