“Until we come to project a united front, making any further progress in the struggle remains a challenge,” stated a release issued by the chairman. It has been 41 years since the Kangleipak Communist Party was formed with the idea of liberating Kangleipak from the colonial yoke of India, it stated. In this period, the party has been fortunate enough to receive unwavering support from the people of Kangleipak (Manipur), it further stated, adding, it is also hoped that the party will continue to enjoy the people’s trust and overall support in this struggle.
“Although the party, and by extension, the whole armed separatist movement of Kangleipak (Manipur) remained confronted with a number of challenges in the uphill struggle for liberation of Kangleipak (Manipur), we all remain committed to the cause, and there arises no question of our giving up on the idea of a sovereign Kangleipak (Manipur), which is doubtless the ultimate destiny of all the Kangliechas!” it further stated.
Lastly, the chairman on behalf of the party thanked the people of Manipur for their support, adding, “Only on the strength of which we continue to exist despite the increasing application of brutal and extrajudicial tactics by the enemy against us.”
“Also, I would like to appeal to the people of Manipur to always stand by the armed separatist movement as a whole, because nothing less than sovereignty can actually ensure our survival as the de facto and de jure people in our own land, that is Kangleipak (Manipur),” it added.
