As many as 89,65,839 Healthcare Workers (HCWs) in India have been administered the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, according to the latest update by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry.
The ministry stated in a release that a total of 8,83,72,277 vaccine doses have been given, as per the provisional report till 8 pm Wednesday. These include 89,65,839 HCWs who have taken the first dose and 54,04,837 HCWs who have taken the second dose, 97,40,281 Frontline Workers (FLWs) (1st dose), 43,35,473 FLWs (2nd dose), 2,26,42,318 for over 45 years old to 59 years old (1st Dose), 4,47,060 for over 45 years old to 59 years old (2nd dose), 3,57,78,684 for above 60 years (Dose) and 10,57,785 for above 60 years (2nd Dose).
