Manipur police detain 212 SOPs violators
A total fine of Rs 25,550 has been collected from the violators.

In continuation to crack down the violators of guidelines issued by the state government and the State Disaster Management Authority in connection with COVID-19 pandemic, the Manipur police department detained 212 persons.

A release by IGP (Ops), nodal officer (COVID-19), Manipur Police said that the detained persons have been released after warning and a total fine of Rs 25,550 has been collected from the violators.

The police department warned that those who violate the guidelines and restrictions shall be dealt with strong legal action under National Disaster Management Act, 2005 and other appropriate laws.
