Nemcha Kipgen inaugurates Sunday school building, lays foundation stone for new church

Nemcha said that a church building can be important, but whether a church uses a building, a tent, or a grand stadium, it should teach biblical doctrine, proclaim the gospel of salvation, and glorify Christ.

Kangpokpi Assembly constituency MLA Nemcha Kipgen inaugurated the Sunday school building of Keithelmanbi Solam Baptist Church at Keithelmanbi and laid the foundation stone for construction of a new church building on Saturday.

Inaugurating the church’s Sunday school building, Nemcha Kipgen said that Sunday school is the best way to get involved in the life of a church where people can interact with each other while studying God’s word together and it is a place where burdens are divided and joys are multiplied.

“I am happy to inaugurate the Sunday school building where children would be introduced to the great Biblical dramas, connecting God’s story with their own and where they would learn prayers, showing them the reality of an inner realm where God speaks to them and where they would be nurture creativity through crafts, projects, skits, and more,” Nemcha said.

As she laid the foundation stone for construction of the new church building, Nemcha said that a church building can be important, but whether a church uses a building, a tent, or a grand stadium, it should teach biblical doctrine, proclaim the gospel of salvation, and glorify Christ.

Pastor Thangminlal Haokip, KBC No.5 dedicated the Sunday school building and the foundation stone for construction of the new church building after it was formally inaugurated and laid by the local MLA in the presence of former local MDC, Lamminthang Kipgen and other church leaders.

As the committee members for construction of the new church building including chairman, Paominthang Kipgen; secretary, Lamminthang Kipgen; and treasurer, Seiminlun Haokip were introduced by the church secretary, pastor Thangminlal Haokip dedicated and prayed for their success endeavours for the new church building.

Kuki gospel artists such as Neicy Haokip, Lunngaineng Touthang, May Vaiphei and Hoineng Touthang enthralled the crowd with their melodious gospel songs.
