Manipur: Eight government school teachers suspended for not attending school
The teachers were found absent when Education Minister S Rajen Singh paid a surprise visit at Lamdeng Government High School on Tuesday.

Eight government school teachers in Manipur have been suspended for not attending school. All the eight teachers are presently posted at Lamdeng Government High School under Lamsang Assembly Constituency.
The teachers were found absent when Education Minister S Rajen Singh paid a surprise visit at the school on Tuesday.
The education said that the teachers were found absent while conducting a surprise visit at Lamdeng High School on Tuesday.
Suspension process of eight more teachers of Lamlong Higher Secondary School who were found absent during the surprise visit is under process, the minister added.
S Rajen also interacted with the representatives of the agitating college teachers regarding the implementation of 7th Pay prior on Tuesday. During the interaction, Rajen assured of fulfilling their demand within the month of March, 2021.
The minister also appealed to the college teachers to resume their normal work since there is a very limited duration for conducting classes before the semester exams. He also reminded that semister exams have been fixed in the month of April, 2021.
