Thoubal: 21 litres of DIC liquor seized
The liquor sellers have been handed over to the Excise station Thoubal for necessary formalities.

Thoubal District police under the supervision of SP S Ibomcha continued their drive against DIC liquor, during which a team of Thoubal Police Station rounded up one DIC liquor seller on Saturday.

The liquor seller Khundrakpam Shanti Devi, 50, wife of late Ibungo of Khangabok part (I) was picked up along with 5 litres of DIC liquor from her vendor located at Khangabok bazar. She was handed over to Excise station Thoubal for necessary formalities, as per Police source.

Meanwhile, at 6.30 pm on Saturday, a team of Khongjom Police Station led by SI Ak Joydutta under the supervision of OC Khongjom PS K Santosh conducted a special drive at Khongjom areas. During the drive, one individual namely Soibam (o) Tembi Devi, 48, wife of Sanjoy of Tekcham Maning Leikai was apprehended along with 10 litres of DIC liquor, the source informed.

A team of Heirok-PS also conducted a liquor drive at liquor drive at Heirok part-II area. Six litres of DIC liquor were seized from one Shaikhom Ibomcha Singh, 42, son of (L) Yaima Singh of Heirok part-II,Bazar Maning. The individual along with the seized items have been handed over to Excise Station, Thoubal.

On Friday, a team of Thoubal Police Station picked up one Seram Sanatombi Devi, 32, wife of Chinglen of Wangjing Awang leikai along with 15 litres of DIC liquor, the source added.
