47 organisations resolve to intensify Covid-19 awareness drive in Manipur
Various CVOs and students bodies held a meeting and resolved to take several steps to check Covid situation in Manipur

As many as 47 various civil voluntary organisations and student organisations in Manipur have resolved to intensify COVID-19 awareness campaign and to regulate proper Standard Operating Procedures in the state.
The organisations also decided to set up more Task force units in localities where task force has not been set up.

The decision was taken at a meeting held by the organisations on Thursday at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen.
The meeting also resolved to extend help to people living in containment areas and to apprise the state government to extend possible help to the COVID task forces and committees at different localities.
They stated that the state government should take up necessary steps to reduce the number of COVID cases as well as the mortality rate of the state. Further, the meeting decided to urge the state government to check whether the report of Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme regarding number of COVID fatality is true.

The organisations also resolved to mount pressure on the government to issue a report whether the COVID fatality rate as declared by the government is genuine or the death cases are due to other illness/diseases.
They urged the state government to instruct State Level Audit Committee to produce COVID-19 death reports.
