Farmer training cum mela conducted at Chandel

An exhibition of organic produce of farmers was showcased in the mela

A farmer training cum mela was conducted at Modi village, Chandel on Friday, organised by District Agriculture officer of Chandel and sponsored under Soil Health Card programme and National Food Security Mission (Oilseeds-NMOOP) FY 2020-21.

The programme was attended by DAO of Chandel, Gladney Monsang; SMS (Plant Breeding) of ICAR- KVK Chandel, Leenda Monsang; SMS (Agri Engg), ICAR-KVK Chandel, K Sonamani Singh; chief of Modi village, Kl John; and former president of Anal Sinu Ruwl, Nl Khungam as the presidium members.

An exhibition of organic produce of farmers was showcased in the mela, followed by a technical session.

The resource persons were K Sonamani Singh and Leenda Monsang of ICAR-KVK Chandel. The topic of the training was focused on ‘Conservation of Soil Health and Package of Practices on Oilseeds and Pulses and its Seed Production’.
