Phurailatpam Manibabu Sharma of Khurai Soibam Leikai, Imphal East has been appointed as the new chairperson of Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MCPCR) with effect from Tuesday. An order issued by the deputy secretary (Social Welfare), Sonia Oinam said Manibabu shall hold the post of the chairperson for a term of three years from the date on which he assumes office or till he attains the age of 65 years whichever is earlier.
