Ngamreiso Jajo informed that “in this regard, we have met the minister, director and transport contractor concerned through the help of the MLA concerned. However, we are yet to get our NFSA rice transportation charges since October 2017. We are in no position to bear the transportation cost at our own expenses. We have suffered enough.”
He added that if the authority concerned does not respond to their plight and sufferings, the association would be compelled to take up necessary democratic course of action including agitation with all the ration card holders.
Numbers of vehicles loaded with rice could be seen parked on both sides of the road just outside the premises of FCI Godown at Meizailung, Ukhrul.
