Altogether 140 persons, including 122 from general population and 18 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF), were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases since Wednesday, said a release from COVID-19 Common Control Room.
The cumulative number of positive cases has been pushed to 5,725 (General Population - 4251 and Central Security Personnel - 1474), it said.

It informed that the fresh positive cases include 85 from Imphal West, 10 from Imphal East, eight from Thoubal, six from Chandel, five from Kangpokpi, two from Churachandpur and one each from Ukhrul and Senapati district.
There is no report of death on Thursday and the cumulative number of deaths stand at 25, it added.

Meanwhile, 128 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours after they were found COVID-19 free on RT PCR test. The cumulative number of recovered cases is 3,957 (General Population - 3,245 and Central Security Personnel - 712) while the number of active cases is 1,743 (General Population - 982 and Central Security Personnel - 761). The recovery rate is 69.11 per cent, said the release.
