Candidates of HSLC compartmental examination 2020 who have submitted the forms for appearing in the examination are declared passed considering the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in the state.
Of the 5,389 candidates who got compartmental chance, 5,329 candidates submitted the exam forms and all the 5,329 candidates were declared passed, according to the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM). The detailed results of the examination will be available in the BOSEM website, www.bosem.in or www.manresults.nic.in.
Secretary of Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) Dr Chithung Mary Thomas notified on Monday that the prevailing uncertain situation of the state is not conducive for holding the examination in August or early part of September.
The secretary also stated there is a possibility of losing an academic year for the candidates concerned if the examination is to be deferred further beyond the month of August or early part of September.
For subjects having full marks 80 and pass mark 20, maximum marks of 25 will be awarded considering 20 as pass mark and 5 as grace mark. For subjects having full mark 48 and pass mark 12, maximum marks of 15 will be awarded considering 12 as pass mark and 3 as grace mark, the notification added.
However, for subjects having full 32 as full mark and 8 as pass mark, 10 will be awarded as the maximum mark. The pass mark is 8 and 2 marks will be awarded as a grace mark.
The announcement of the result is in pursuance of the government approval and resolution of the examination committee held on august 14. The schools are also notified to collect the certificate of the examination from September 1.
