Kamjong quarantine centre gets 50 solar lamps

The Chassad battalion of 10 Sector Assam Rifles distributed 50 Solar Lamps to Kamjong quarantine centre on Saturday, said a release issued by IGAR (South).
The Kamjong quarantine centre, being set up in a limited time frame, lacks basic amenities like electricity and water supply, it said. The inmates of the centre were facing hardships due to frequent power cuts for the past 2-3 months, it added.
The Chassad battalion distributed the solar lamps in an attempt to minimise the hardships of the centre, the release said.
The release added that presentation was done at the Chassad police station in the presence of SP Kamjong, Ningam Siro, CMO, CHC Kamjong, Dr Panyo, CMO Kamjong, Dr Rangla James, president Kamjong District COVID-19 Forum Prem Kasar and other members of the organisation.
