According to a statement issued by KSO Sadar Hills General Secretary Lalgoulen Haokip, the organisation steadfastly stand against the office memorandum issued by the home department.
“Unless the state government rectifies its order to send all flight passengers to Institutional quarantine, no passengers coming by flight shall be allowed entry into Sadar Hills, Kangpokpi district without any exemption,” it stated.
The KSO asked why asymptomatic passengers of trains were mandatorily sent for institutional quarantine whereas those by flight are being referred for home quarantine.
Appealing all to support KSO in its fight to keep Sadar Hills, Kangpokpi district COVID-19 free, the KSO urged the public not to bring in any passengers coming by flight to the district unless it is for institutional quarantine escorted by the state police.
It further added that the KSO has been rendering support to the District administration in its fight against COVID-19 and will continue to do so even if it means going against all odds.
