JD(U) to hold mega rally in Imphal
The mega rally will be organised by its national executive and state executives in Imphal in December second week

The Manipur Janata Dal (United) on Wednesday announced that a mega rally will be organised by its national executive and state executives in Imphal in December second week, with the objective to raise the people’s voice to the Manipur government.  

Pointing out various failures of the BJP government in both the Centre and in different states of India including Manipur, a special meeting of JD(U) was held on Monday in Dibrugarh, Assam, the Manipur JD(U) stated in a release.

It stated that the meeting deliberated on the need to voice the people's demands for better governance in Manipur.

It also pointed out various problems faced in the state such as unemployment, failure of smart city project, substandard road connectivity, insufficient and low quality healthcare facility, failure in education system, failure in implementation of government sponsored schemes, delay in ADC, municipality and nagar panchayat election, failure in the supply of fertilizers, no price control for essential commodities, failure of security system in remote areas, among others.

The meeting was attended by JD(U) national president Rajiv Ranjan Singh, its Northeast Executive Council convenor NSN Lotha, Manipur JD(U) president Hangkhanpao Taithul, it added.

The meeting also reconfirmed that JD(U) will contest the general Assembly Election 2022 to be held in five states of India, including Manipur, it added. 

Further informing that the national leaders of the party will be coming to Imphal to convene the proposed rally, it stated that during the visit, its national leaders will also be reviewing the present political scenario in Manipur as well as the preparation of JD(U) for the upcoming election in the state.
