Manipur can be saved only by regional political party: MPP
Manipur People’s Party (MPP) general secretary (Administration) Haobijam Gitajen Meitei said that seven intending candidates had already been announced to contest as MPP candidates from the assembly constituencies of Moirang, Kumbi, Sugnu, Sagolband, Andro, Singjamei and Konthoujam.

The Manipur People’s Party (MPP) is ready to bring 40 intending candidates from various assembly constituencies including hill districts with an aim to form a new government of the regional political party.

Speaking to the media persons at its party office at Imphal West, MPP general secretary (Administration) Haobijam Gitajen Meitei said that Manipur can be saved only by a regional political party and MPP being a regional political party is ready to bring a change with a new government.

He said that seven intending candidates had already been announced to contest as MPP candidates from the assembly constituencies of Moirang, Kumbi, Sugnu, Sagolband, Andro, Singjamei and Konthoujam.

In addition to the seven assembly constituencies, MPP will be announcing other intending candidates for both hills and valleys in the next few days, he added.

He continued that the party is ready to take part in the upcoming Manipur Legislative Assembly election with an assurance to bring a new regional party government in the next term.
