A four-day Certification Programme for Returning Officers of Manipur was inaugurated by the state chief electoral officer Rajesh Agrawal at the Conference Hall of chief electoral officer, Manipur, Lamphelpat on Tuesday.
The training programme will be held from October 26-29. The training will comprise 16 sessions to be conducted by National Level Master Trainers (NLMTs).
The certification programme is conducted by chief electoral officer, Manipur, Lamphelpat.
Rajesh Agrawal said that the training will help in smooth preparation and conduct of the upcoming election and advised the returning officers to pay adequate attention.
On the first day resource persons, master trainers Anil Salgotra and Munir Vohra conducted the sessions on Qualification, Disqualification, District Election Management Plan and Vulnerability Mapping.
The second day session will be conducted by consultant, ECI KF Wilfred and master trainer Munir Vohra on Nomination Including Instructions on Criminal Antecedent, Scrutiny of Nomination, Withdrawal of Candidature and Allotment of Symbol and ETPBS.
The third and fourth day session will be conducted by master trainers Anil Salgotra, Riaz Bhatt, and Pramod Sahoo on Expenditure Monitoring, Model Code of Conduct, Postal Ballot, Polling Party and Poll Day Arrangement, EVM – VVPAT Administrative, EVM – VVPAT Hands On, Paid News and MCMC and Counting.
The programme was also attended by additional CEO, Manipur Naorem Praveen Singh, joint CEO, Manipur Ramananda Nongmeikapam, Joint CEO (II), Manipur, Md S Daulat Khan, returning officers and staff of CEO, Office, Manipur and National Level Master Trainers (NLMTs).
