GHPU confers Yumnam Laksman with honorary doctorate degree in humanities
In the last 10 years, Laksman had organised more than 1,670 youth programmes giving benefit to 1,13,717 youths of Manipur and Nagaland, supported by 39 voluminous reports.

The Global Human Peace University (GHPU) has awarded Honorary Doctorate Degree in Humanities to Yumnam Laksman in the Universities Convocation held in Pondicherry on Saturday.

The doctorate degree was awarded to Laksman, a retired district youth coordinator of NYKS, Government of India, for his outstanding contribution and performance in the field of youth work, community service and submission of a good number of reports, articles and publications.

Chancellor P Manual, judge Murugaboopathi, Shanmuga, Sampatkumar and CR Baskaran attended the convocation as guests of honours.

In the last 10 years, Laksman had organised more than 1,670 youth programmes giving benefit to 1,13,717 youths of Manipur and Nagaland, supported by 39 voluminous reports.  Laksman was also a recipient of a national award from the President of India in 2013.

Yumnam Laksman was recommended for the honorary doctorate degree by GHPU nomination member, Subhasis Saha.
