Manipur Governor La Ganesan has extended greetings to the people of Manipur, especially to the Muslim brethren on the sacred and auspicious occasion of Milad-Un-Nabi, 2021.

“On the occasion of the birthday of Prophet Mohammad, I sincerely appeal to all the people to re-dedicate themselves to promote the eternal message of love, justice and brotherhood, which the Prophet preached to the people,” the governor stated in his message on Monday.

He stated that these ideals have special relevance and importance today, when human society is affected by evils like religious conflicts, communal hatred and violence. “May the message of universal peace, compassion, tolerance and service to humanity preached by the holy prophet Mohammad inspire us all. Let us all live in peace, happiness and harmony,” he stated.

Works Minister Th Biswajit Singh also extended wishes on the occasion. “The birthday of Holy Prophet Muhammad provides us opportunity to pray and seek forgiveness and blessings from the Almighty for the entire mankind,” he stated in his message. The life of the prophet has been an inspiring saga of love, brotherhood and virtue to mankind, he mentioned.

“The Prophet's mission is fulfilled when we serve our fellowmen with faith, trust, care and compassion. Let the day be a harbinger of peace and development for the State and the Country. May the birthday of Prophet Mohammad usher in peace and goodwill amongst all,” he added.

Extending his best wishes, Employment Minister Th Satyabrata stated in his message that the auspicious occasion is a reminder for people to place their faith in Allah and keep doing good deeds with compassion and kindness.
