Manipur's daily COVID-19 positive tally which dropped below 100 on Saturday surged above 100-mark on Sunday at 104, taking the state's cumulative COVID-19 confirmed cases to 122,737. The new cases included one security personnel and the daily positivity rate stood at 4.4 per cent, according to the latest update by the state health department.
The state also reported two deaths due to COVID-19 and the death toll climbed to 1,897 as of Sunday, as per the release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room.
Of the 2,347 test results received on Sunday, 104 people tested positive for COVID-19. Of them, 58 are from Imphal West, 18 from Imphal East, foru from Bishnupur, six from Kakching, nine from Kamjong, two from Kangpokpi, one each from Pherzawl, Senapati, Tengnoupal and Thoubal, and two from Ukhrul.
The two COVID-19 victims were from Imphal West, the release stated. All precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it stated.
The state recorded 102 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,19,418. The recovery rate remained 97.30 per cent, and the number of active cases remained 1,422, the release added.
Meanwhile, a total of 1038 D-type Oxygen Cylinders and 199 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur.
As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered vaccine reached 18,27,474 (first dose: 12,36,143, second dose: 5,91,331).
According to the release, there are 471 vacant general beds and 102 ICU/HDU beds of COVID-19 in seven hospitals of Manipur.
In CMC, Koirengei (Contact No. 9612636004/9612905628) there are 31 vacant general beds and eight ICU/HDU beds; in Iboyaima Hospital, Singjamei (Contact No.7005436870/ 9612022125) there are 25 vacant general beds and five ICU/HDU beds; in Jivan Hospital, Kakching (Contact No. 9366034272/ 7085348366) there are 20 vacant general beds and five ICU/HDU beds; in Shija Hospital (Contact No. 7005097688/7005125158) there are 41 vacant general beds and 33 ICU/HDU beds.
In Raj Medicity (Contact No.7005105552/9366496411) there are 74 vacant general beds and 23 ICU/HDU beds, in RIMS (Contact No. 7640862396) there are 221 vacant general beds and 28 ICU/HDU beds and in JNIMS (Contact No. 8131855346) there are 59 general beds and zero ICU/HDU beds.
