Critically ill fawn rescued in Chandel

An abandoned fawn, aged approximately four to five months, was found critically ill in the dense forest of Sajik Tampak.

The Sajik Tampak Battalion under the aegis of IGAR (South) saved an abandoned and seriously ill deer fawn near Sajik Tampak village in Chandel district, stated a release issued by IGAR (South) on Thursday.

The abandoned fawn, aged approximately four to five months, was found in the dense forest of Sajik Tampak, it stated. It was famished and critically ill, it mentioned.

It stated that a column of AR rescued the fawn and provided medical treatment and nourishment. Once it was stabilised, the fawn was later handed over to the Forest department at Yangen Ching village, Chandel district, it added.
