The grand finale of the state-level talent hunt competition ‘Ringui’s Got Talent 2023’ was held on Saturday at Tongou/Ringui village in Ukhrul district with a glittering award ceremony for the finalists.
Organised by Dew Drops, the top three winners of the talent hunt competition will be given the opportunity to perform at the stage of Rubaru Mr India 2023 grand finale.
Singer Ramchanphi Zingkhai won the first prize, while painter Bakmei Kasomwoshi bagged the second prize and the group Dancer Factor was awarded the third prize.
"The organising committee is making efforts to send the top winners to the stage of India's Got Talent," said convenor of Ringui's Got Talent Raising AC while speaking to the media.
He said the event seeks to help the participating artistes to get due grooming from celebrated artistes and excel. It also aims to create a space for budding artistes to start molding their career and promote professionalism.
Young potentials in the state remain largely untapped due to varying adverse factors, he said, adding, one obvious reason is lack of motivation and platform.
He stated that such events will be a key to wean away the youths from the scourge of drugs, and substantive abuses. He said Ringui’s Got Talent is a cherished dream of Dew Drops to alleviate the younger generation and to uplift our society through nurturing young talents and tourism.
The event featured singers, dancers, magicians, comedians and other performing arts. It was participated by as many as 60 youngsters from across the state and 12 made it to the grand finale.
