There are nine villages in Tamenglong district, Manipur which are yet to get electricity.
Since Sunday, power supply has been completely shutdown in the 33 KV sub-stations namely Hungpung, Ukhrul, Talui, Nungpi, Namrei and Jessami areas in Ukrhul district..
A release by MSPDCL stated that the consumers of the 11KV Kakwa feeder will not get power supply on Tuesday from 12 pm till 4 pm due to the planned shutdown for jungle cutting and line maintenance work.

There will be a planned shutdown of 11K Mantripukhri II feeders on January 13 from 11 am to 3 pm for jungle cutting and line maintenance work.
There will be power cut on January 11, 10 am to 3 pm, MSPDCL said.
There will be no power supply in Patsoi, Yurembam, Langjing, Takyel, Taobungkhok, Sagoltongba, Awangkhunou, Konthoujam, Khumbong, Ngairangbam and Keithelmanbi.
