YWC Langthabal, ESU Wangkhei prevail; ICSA, KRYPSA share point in Senior Women's Football

The 12th AMFA Senior Women's Football Tournament 2021-22 (Pre-Qualifying Round for Indian Women League) was played at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.

YWC Langthabal blanked MPSC Police HQ by 2-0 goals in the 12th AMFA Senior Women's Football Tournament 2021-22 (Pre-Qualifying Round for Indian Women League) played at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.

The first went goal less as both teams were engrossed in tussle for domination of the ball. However YWC surprised the Policewomen when T. Thoibisana Devi netted home the opening goal in 56 minute and later S. Rinaroy Devi sealed the fate of MPSC team with the winning goal in 78 minute.

In the other matches, ESU Wangkhei beat WFA Kakching by a similar margin of 2-0 goals with K Anju Chanu fetching the opening goal in 59 minute and Y Bidyangambi scoring the second in 68 minute.

The last match of the day saw ICSA Irengbam hold KRYPSA Naoremthong by 2-2 goals to share a point each.

ICSA enjoyed the first half with KRYPSA player I. Sonibala Devi conceding an own goal and later Silky Nong consolidated their position with the second goal in 24 minute.

However KRYPSA managed to stake a claim in the game with Hemam Linthoi scoring her team's first goal in 40 plus 1 minute of injury time to trail by 1-2 goals.

KRYPSA took over the latter stages of the game with Babysana Devi finding the equalizer in 71 minute to level 2-2 goals. ICSA player Kh. Rebina Chanu got a yellow card in the match.
