TRAU Kwakeithel pulled off a 3 wickets win over Model Club, Singjamei in the 6th MNCA W Prahlada & W Ramananda Elite Tournament 2021-22 which resumed at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangsangbam.
The Elite tournament was temporarily suspended due to unplayable ground conditions from rain for the last few days and resumed on Tuesday.
Witnessing a clear sky, TRAU Kwakeithel after winning the toss, opted to field first and Model Club had to sweat it out in the first few hours with opener Y Karnajit managing 17 runs while Th Deepak got 22 runs before he retired hurt.
With the exit of Deepak, top order batsman Langlonyamba Singh took charge of the batting, hitting 44 runs. But once getting out of wickets, he started to crumble under pressure and Model Club managed to put up 152 runs for 9 wickets from 40 overs. W Priyokumar remained not out with 14 runs.
TRAU bowlers Anand Naorem claimed 4 wickets for 20 runs from 8 overs while Priyojit took 2 wickets, Puinachandra and Bijenkumar fetched 1 wickets each.
Chasing the target, TRAU batsman had a bad start losing both the opener for 10 runs but Priyojit lit up the atmosphere with 19 runs and later middle order batsman took charge in tackling the required run rate.

Behul Singh struck 35 runs while Bishorjit Singh got 21 runs, Anand Naorem scored an unbeaten 20 runs and Bijenkumar Singh contributed 20 runs as well.
Model bowler Superjit Singh bagged 3 wickets while Veteshor Sharma claimed 2 wickets and Somorjit got 1 wicket. Later, TRAU bowler Anand Naorem was declared the Man of the Match for his 4 wickets haul and 20 runs knock.
