The Thongju Kendra Tangbang Lup (TKTL) has elected new office bearers for the term 2023-26 during a general body meeting held on Sunday at Uchekon Laikon.
The elected office bearers are Athokpam Sasikumar Luwang as president, Ksh Imocha Singh, Longjam Kumar Singh and Moirangthem Naba as vice presidents, Lisam Pratap as secretary, Ningthoujam Yaima as treasurer, Sh. Sanayaima as publicity secretary, Kharibam Rishi, Wangkhem Opendro, Ningombam Mono and Nandeibam Santosh as joint secretaries.
The meeting also resolved to organise the 2nd Thongju Kendra open marathon on March 5, 2023 with a cash prize of Rs 10,000, Rs 7,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively for the first, second and third winners for both male and female. Rs 500 will be given to all the participants who reach the finishing point too.
The marathon race will begin from Ibudhou Puruksoubi complex and end at Meira Bashikhong. Application forms for the race will be available from February 15 through local clubs. All participants should be a resident of Thongju assembly constituency and should be at least 14 years of age.
