Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament: Free Progress Academy beat Young Pioneer Academy by 2-0 goals

The U-17 Boys match saw Mangpineng fetching both the goals for Free Progress team in the second half play.

Free Progress Academy, Uyumpok beat Young Pioneer Academy by 2-0 goals in the 61st District Level Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament for U-14 and U-17 Boys and Girls organised by DYASO Imphal East and played at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

The U-17 Boys match saw Mangpineng fetching both the goals for Free Progress team in the second half play.

In another match, Kangla Ukok English School beat Young Star Dynamic English School by 5-4 goals during kicks from penalty mark after the regulation time ended in a goalless draw.

Kh Loyalakpa, S Rakesh, Th Priyabon, Taj Khan and N Bidyananda scored for Kangla Ukok ES while for Young Star Dynamic, S Malemnganba, N Raj, L Michael, Sh Priyojit find the target while P Bicky mistimed his kick.

New Era English School beat Friendship English Academy by 4-3 goals during penalty shootout after both teams were locked with 1-1 goals in normal time play. Nawaz brought up the opening goal for Friendship team while O Malemnganba fetched the equaliser for New Era team, needing the penalty shootout.  O Diamond, L Ayangsana and Amzad Khan scored for New Era English School while for Friendship English Academy, N Jamson and Sh Anish were able to beat the keeper.
