State Level Open Chess Tournament 2022: Y Dhanabir lead with 4 points

Dhanabir Singh is the sole player who managed to climb up to the top spot, beating another seasoned campaigner Kh Sanjoy Singh on Tuesday.

Yambem Dhanabir Singh enjoyed the top spot, collecting 4 points in the 5th Khuraijam Ramnarayan Shastree Memorial State Level Open Chess Tournament 2022 held at Juvenile Club, Tera Sapam Leirak.

On the completion of the fourth round, Dhanabir Singh is the sole player who managed to climb up to the top spot, beating another seasoned campaigner Kh Sanjoy Singh on Tuesday.

The second spot is currently occupied by Rk Sudhirsana and L Lalgopal Sharma, who managed a drawn game between them, E Shashikanta and Rk Bhogen armed with three and half points each.  

Players on the third spot with three points are Kh Sanjoy, S Herojit, S Premjit, N Dhaneshwor, S Lawrence, Th Sunachand, Rocky, K Poireikhomba, N Herojit, Ph Rajen, L Shyamkishore, N Pari and Ngakuimi Kasar.

N Tokyo, O Ningthem, H Ibochou, Ngangwangkhu Khoisnam, E Jeakson, Ronald Soibam, Dayanand Th, Kh Premchandra and Ksh Aimson are with two-and-half points.  It can be mentioned that two rounds, that is, the third and fourth round of the meet were played on Tuesday.
