Imphal West boxers lifted the overall Team Champion title of the State Level Boxing Championship 2021 organised by MABA at Boxing Ring, Khuman Lampak.
Boxers of the Imphal West finished with 21 gold medals, 19 silver and 9 bronze collecting a total of 111 points while Bishnupur took the over all First Runners up title with 16 gold medals, 17 silver and 14 bronze for 89 points and Imphal East got the overall Second Runners up title with 14 gold medals, 15 silver and 14 bronze for 68 points.
The Most Promising boxer for Boys and Girls in Sub-Junior category was awarded to Ningthoujam Akaba Singh of Imphal East and Thoudam Merina Devi of Imphal West.
The Best Boxers of the meet in various categories was given to Ngamba Longjam of Imphal West in Sub-Junior Boys, Kh.Sinthoi Devi of Imphal West in Sub-Junior Girls, Tompok Thokchom of Thoubal in Junior Boys, Venika Yumnam of Bisnupur in Junior Girls, Thangjam Leninson of Imphal West in Youth Men, Melody Kilong of Churchandpur in Youth Women, L.Edison of Imphal West in Elite Men and Baby Rojisana Chanu of Thoubal in Elite Women.
While in the Best Loser are Angom Ronaldo of Bishnupur, T.Alena of Bishnupur, Md.Siraj of Kakching, M.Luxmi of Kakching, P.Suranjoy of Bisnhupur, Ksh.Silky of Imphal West, Mangte Loya Kom of Chandel and Grace Chengngaihlian of Churchandpur.
