PTRC Patsoi Part IV bats their way to the final with 7 wickets win over PTCC Patsoi Part III in the 1st MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament 2021-22 played at PTRC Ground, Patsoi.

In the first semi final, PTCC after winning the toss, opted to bat first and made 98 runs for 10 wickets from 14.5 overs. Most of the top order batsmen failed to get their rhythm right but Chingakham Nikhil Meitei made an effort, hammering 62 runs from 27 balls, to give a fighting chance.

PTRC bowler Benson Yumnam was the chief wrecker claiming 5 wickets for 15 runs from 6 overs while L James got 3 wickets and Ngambarel took 1 wicket.

Chasing the target, PTRC opening batsman gave a good start with S Richie making 26 runs while Robinson S got 29 runs and Stoneson made an unbeaten 27 runs, to reach the target in 18.1 overs for 3 wickets. PTCC bowler Karnajit and Somobanta picked up 1 wicket each.

In the second semi final to be played tomorrow, ESU Palace Compound will take on TCMDC Thongju Pechu Lampak at PCC Ground, Mayaikoibi.

KIYC Khetrigao beat YWC Patsoi

KIYC Khetrigao pulled off a 20 runs win over YWC Patsoi through VJD Method in the 6th MNCA Plate Tournament 2021-22 played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangsangbam.

Earlier in the day, YWC Patsoi had put up 110 runs for 10 wickets from 35.4 overs. However, as rain interrupted later on, the target was revised using VJD Method, giving KIYC to chase 51 runs from 15 overs, which the latter easily did, making 70 runs, losing 4 wickets in the process.

For KIYC, Anees Ahmed top scored with 35 runs to guide his team to victory and was later awarded the Man of the Match for his 2 wickets haul as well.

Shooters for National Games

The Manipur Rifle Association has informed all its eligible shooters who had achieved MQS under Rule 17.6 as per NRAI Match Book 2022 in the last 64th National Championship in senior category may submit their credentials for participation in the 36th National Games 2022 at Gujarat.
Shooters willing to participate in games are to contact L Kulabanta Singh, joint secretary, MRA by August 7, 2022.


AMFA Senior Women Football

The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) has informed that the 13th AMFA Senior Women's Football League 2022-23 will begin from August 10 at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.

Seven teams-Young Welfare Club, ICSA Irengbam, KRYPSA, UPSA Pukhao, MPSC, ESU and Youth Welfare Club are participating in the meet. The opening match on August 10 will have ICSA Irengbam taking on YWC Langthabal at 2.30 pm.

IWDFA Super Division

CHIKL Chajing will take on YDO Lamdong in the opening match of the 22nd S Birendra Singh Memorial Super Division Football League 2022 organised by Imphal West District Football Association at SKYC Ground, Awang Sekmai on August 7 at 1.30 pm.
