Muvanlai Athletics upstaged Manipur Police Sports Club, HQ by 3-0 goals in the 14th Manipur State League 2021 sponsored by Kh Joykishan Singh and played at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong. Manipur Police team is having a hard time, reeling in sixth place in Group B with 6 points, having played 6 matches and won 2 games and lost 4 matches. As for Muvanlai Athletics they are slightly better off with 9 points from 6 matches, winning 3 and losing 3 matches. David Ngaihte provided the early lead for Muvanlai Athletics when he struck the opening goal in 6 minute of play. The young breed player of Manipur Police, seems not quite getting fit to shoes left behind by its predecessor and struggles in the last two matches as well. The killing instinct seems to be lacking in their mindset.

Muvanlai Athletics on the other hand, continued their tirade and the second half opened more doors for them as Lungingthang came up with the second goal in 52 minute to post 2-0 goals lead. Though Manipur Police made their move late they failed to gain the upper hand and instead it was Muvanlai Athletics who outfoxed them with an injury time goal from David Ngaihte to seal their fate today.
Three Muvanlai Athletics players Thangkhanglen, David Ngaihte, Lunjapao got booked with yellow cards from referee N Ibungo in the match.
