M Leishembi Chanu of SROY claimed the gold medal in the U-16 Girls Shot Put event of the 41st State Age Group Athletic Championship 2021 held at Main Stadium, Khuman Lampak.
Making a distance of 9.74 metre, Leishembi Chanu clinched the gold medal while L Ethoi of PRSC fetched the silver medal with a throw of 7.04 metre and L Roshnini Devi of HAU settled for the bronze medal with 5.88 metre.
In the U-18 Girls category, HAU made a sweep with T. Ophelia Devi making a throw of 6.95 metre while teammate Ph Vinash Chanu made a distance of 6.40 metre for the gold and silver medals. As for the U-20 Girls, T Shila Devi of Ideal Club claimed the gold with a throw of 7.23 metre while Sananu P of RAU got the silver with 6.34 metre.
The Women's Open shot put saw, N Ichantombi Devi of SROY covered a distance of 8.20 metre for the gold while Th Radhesana Devi of MPSC bagged the silver medal with 8.08 metre and teammate M Arundhati Devi took the bronze with 7.75 metre.
In the Men's Open Shot Put event, T Nanao of SROY grabbed the gold medal with 14.03 metre while H Norendro of MPSC took the silver with 13.50 metre and S. Meipaksana of MPSC got the bronze medal with 12.50 meter.
N Ibemani Devi of HAU makes a leap of 4.19 metre to claimed the gold medal in the Long Jump event of U-14 Girls while A Yaiphabi Devi of SROY took the silver medal with 3.90 meter and A Premita Devi of PRSC settle for the bronze medal with 3.84 metre.
In the U-16 Girls Long Jump, A Anjita Devi of SROY takes the gold medal with 4.38 metre while Ch Thoibi Devi of SROY got the silver medal with 3.27 meter and Kh Abem of HAU fetch the bronze medal with 2.72 metre.
