Neroca FC stuns TRAU FC by 6-4 goals during penalty shootout to move into the last sixteen stage of the 12th Shaheed Manoranjan Singh Memorial CRPF Football Tournament 2021-22 played at Turf Ground, SAI Sports Complex, Takyel.
Fielding their second rung team in the tournament, both teams managed 1-1 goals during regulation hours, needing kicks from penalty mark to decide the pre-quarter finalist among the two.
Neroca FC proved more agile in the first half period as they gained the lead from Kh Lucky Singh who shot home the opening goal in the 33 minute of play. But TRAU FC managed to draw parity in the game with Th Naresh fetching the equaliser in the 81 minute to level 1-1 goals during normal time.
The lesser known face of Neroca FC youngster provided them as a shield in their kicking ability with Thomas Sh, Kh Lukcy, Jonarthan, Ch Barian and Benjamin converting all their kicks to perfection while for TRAU FC, only Mangmilun, Chinakho A and M. Jetlee beats the keeper, to deny their stay in the tournament.
