Seven sports climbers from Manipur among 25 selected from Northeast for National Championship 2022

The 26th National Sports Climbing Championship 2022 will be held at NIM Uttarkashi from August 12-14.

The IMF North East Zone Committee has selected 25 sports climbers to represent the North East Zone in the 26th National Sports Climbing Championship 2022 to be held at NIM Uttarkashi from August 12-14.

Based on their recent performance at Zonal Competition, IIE Guwahati, the IMF NEZ Committee has selected seven sports climbers from Manipur including M Chingkheinganba, MD Menishim Maring, Th Boinao, H Merina Chanu, Y Puspa Chanu and Nongdamba Yumnam.

Seven other climbers from Assam including Tanushree Deka, Chaya Sunar, Chanmoni Rabha, Swangita Gogoi, Pasanta Daimary, Aditya Kumar Sah and Sanjib Rabha. There is a lone climber from Nagaland in Kehihyulo.

Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim have five sports climbers each in the squad including Tai Taru, Kiran Dajusow, Pisa Yagu, Sosar Kusum, Gapak Kayir from AP while Ajit Darnal, Ajit Rawat, Sandup Tamang, Rohit Kumar Chowdhury and Bishnu Kumar Gurung from Sikkim.

The IMF NEZ Committee also appointed N Bidyapati Devi as team manager and T Bobo Singh as coach.
